Twitter Is Getting a Bookmarking Feature

Twitter to Introduce a New Bookmarking Tool

Now, Twitter is testing a new Save for Later feature which will allow users to save Tweets as bookmark to use it whenever you want.

The tool will finally let users store tweets without having to "like" the bad stuff people write in them. That's interesting, given that building "with" user input is how Twitter used to develop features borrowed from the community.

Twitter product manager Jesar Shah said stored tweets will be private, unlike "liked" tweets which appear publicly on your profile.

Adding this new tool will help the app users keep a separate list of items that they would want to refer back.

Twitter is coming up with new exciting features one after another.

As it is in its early stages, Twitter is monitoring feedback on designs and experiments via the #SaveForLater hashtag.

Google Home Mini is a $49 Take on Amazon's Echo Dot
Google will eventually bring the device to all seven countries where the Google Home is officially available. The Max can accept input as a Google Cast target, over Bluetooth, or by using the 3.5-mm auxilliary input.

A few Twitter employees announced the upcoming feature that was piloted at the company's HackWeek, where employees brainstorm new ideas for the service. None of the above-mentioned methods are as convenient as clicking a button to save the tweet.

Once the feature rolls out, you'll be able to save a Tweet by pressing the 3 dots (...) in front of a Tweet and selecting "Add to Bookmarks" button.

What's key for Twitter to get right is the interface for viewing saved tweets.

In its current incarnation, however, it doesn't look as seamless as it could be, requiring you to tap the More options button under a tweet before you can save an update.

I can see Save For Later becoming as popular as the Like option on tweets.

There's no timeline for the feature's launch but Twitter is seeking user feedback on the feature as it builds it. However, Shah points out that the prototype may "likely" change before release.
