Aston Martin is Designing a Three-Person Luxury Submarine

Aston Martin launches Project Neptune submarine

On Thursday-in Monaco, of course-Aston Martin announced it is partnering with Triton Submarines LLC to build a limited edition, luxury submarine that will have even the wealthiest of the wealthy playing catch-up with the Jones's.

It will be a limited edition affair (how much of a demand is Aston Martin expecting for this thing, anyway?) and it'll carry three people into the depths of your chosen ocean, sea, lake, pond or other body of water. Project Titan will combine Triton's expertise in submersibles with the design input of Aston Martin Consulting under the leadership of the brand's creative director, Marek Reichman.

Ultra-rich Aston Martin fans can now have a submarine, a powerboat and a Valkyrie hypercar.

Federation Internationale de Football Association to lift controversial poppy ban
The new wording tightens the definition of what is to be deemed a "political" symbol by the football authorities. The poppy has always been used as a symbol for the British to commemorate military personnel who died in battle.

It's unclear when Aston Martin will actually start making these.

Patrick Lahey, president of Triton Submarines, said: "We have always admired Aston Martin". Under Reichman's guidance the 1650/3 has morphed from something you might well have seen on the deck of Cousteau's Calypso into to something....like an Aston Martin for the life (sub) aquatic. Aston Martin Consulting draws upon the exceptional skills of Aston Martin's design and engineering teams, creating credible partnerships that go beyond the automotive sector and yet still demonstrate the love of innovation, beauty and craftsmanship. The marque represents a deeply held passion for technology, engineering and timeless, elegant design.

Where other automotive companies have been investing in flying cars, British luxury sports vehicle maker Aston Martin has taken to the sea.
