Ceballos scores 2 in first start as Real Madrid win

Zinedine Zidane'No reasons for concern

Real Madrid clawed back the 7 point gap to Barcelona, temporarily at least, with a hard-fought 2-1 win away to Deportivo Alaves.

Two goals from Dani Cabellos secured all three points for Zinedine Zidane's men against La Liga strugglers Alaves who are yet to pick up a point after six games.

Ceballos was reported to have been frustrated, after Zidane left him on the bench, as Madrid were beaten 1-0 at his former club, Real Betis, on Wednesday night.

It was the Dani Ceballos show at the Mendizorrotza, as he opened the scoring with a well-taken strike, only for Manu Garcia to deservedly draw Alaves level in the 40th minute. The result leaves Madrid fourth in the Liga table, although Valencia, Levante, Real Sociedad and Real Betis could all leapfrog Los Blancos with a win.

BSF jawan killed in Pakistani firing
The latest spell of shelling was reported at around 9:30 pm and the fire exchange continued beyond midnight, reports said. BSF troops guarding the border, retaliated the firing and gave a befitting reply while on civilian was also injured.

Barcelona loanee Munir crossed the ball in for Garcia and the Alaves skipper made no mistake directing a close-range header past Navas off the underside of the bar.

The away side's next opportunity did not arrive until the 23rd minute, but Ramos could only head Cristiano Ronaldo's chipped free kick into the arms of waiting Alaves goalkeeper Fernando Pacheco. Marco Asensio played in Ceballos, who cleverly cut the ball back before finishing the chance for the lead.

Alaves nearly levelled 20 minutes from time when Alfonso Pedraza's effort took a big deflection before heading towards the Real Madrid goal, but the woodwork saved the visitors during an end-to-end period of the match.

But Madrid were far from comfortable as Alfonso Pedraza saw two attempts come off the woodwork himself for Alaves. Just three minutes after the equaliser, Ceballos struck again, with Pacheco failing to clear the initial chance.
